St Just

The Sunday is the last day of the St Just Festival. Sadly the Cartoonists eventually disperse; and then there is the huge job of taking down the Exhibition. This is done in the most incredible way. the whole town turns up and work at the most amazing pace to take down all evidence that the Festival even happened! The Cartoons are all carefully packed away in lorries and the structure dismantled. There is a big community spirit and I was proud to be part of it.The task finishes about midnight and then everyone participates in a big meal together with wine and singing. What a great way to finish an event.
The next day my lovely French Host family took me to the Railway station and we sadly said our goodbyes and then I set off back to Paris
