Instructions for installing Desktop Wallpaper
Windows Users:
There are two ways to install wallpaper images in Windows. The latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator allow you to simply right-click on any web image and set it as desktop wallpaper. It should be noted that each time you do this, it will over-write the previous wallpaper image.
If you'd like to do it manually (and save all your different images), then access your system's Control Panel, and select the Display icon. You should then see a window which allows you to change your wallpaper images.
Mac Users (OS X):
Click on the correct link of the image you want for your desktop. Once it has finished loading, control/click on the image with your mouse button and scroll down to "Save Image As" in the menu. Save it to your hard drive or your desktop. Move the file to your "Desktop Pictures" folder which is located within your "Library" folder. Choose your desktop image from "System Preferences".
Mac Users (OS 8.5 - 9x):
Click on the thumbnail of the image you want for your desktop. Once it has finished loading, click on the image with your mouse button and scroll down to "Save this Image As" in the menu. Save it to your hard drive or your desktop. Next, go to your Apple menu in the upper left corner, scroll down to "Control Panels" and choose "Appearance". Click on the "Desktop" tab. Click the "Place Picture..." button on the lower right and select the location where you saved your desktop image and press "Choose." Then, press the "Set Desktop" button in the Appearance menu. Your image will appear on your desktop. (Note: on Mac OS 8.1, choose "Desktop Patterns" from the control panels instead of "Appearance").
Unix Users:
If you are using UNIX, and you can't change your desktop image, frankly, you should be ashamed of yourself! ;-)
